Personal Background

Dr. Biswas was born in September 1982 and raised on a small farm in a remote village in West Bengal, India. He had received BSc in Agriculture (2000-2004) majoring in soil science from the Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswasvidyalaya, the state agricultural university and MSc in Soil Science (2004-2006) from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, India. He also received his PhD in Soil Physics from the University of Saskatchewan, SK, Canada in 2011. Dr. Biswas joined the Department of Natural Resource Sciences at McGill University as an Assistant Professor in May 2013 after completing short post doctoral fellow at Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) in Australia.
